The Candle Project
There’s an old Irish tradition where families light candles and place them in their window. It’s a symbol of hospitality signalling to any stranger that they are welcome in the house and that none would be turned away.
Our idea is to create a digital version of this tradition with our print ad as the candle. When adults post a photo of the ad with the hashtag #onegoodadult they will signal to Irish young people that they are welcome and will not be turned away.
This way we don’t just create awareness but an online one good adult database that young people can seek out and find through mutual friends on their social channels. Enabling people to stand up and support Ireland’s young people and making them aware of their role as one good adults.
